How To Find How to Do a Foot Massage

Foot Massage

For those out there who think a neck or body massage is the best way to soothe an aching and tired body, they should try a foot massage. Once in a while, we need to pamper our feet like we pamper our bodies. You can ask a friend to give you a foot massage, or even give one to a friend.

To begin, you need to clean your feet. To do this, you can soak your feet in Epsom salts, lavender or peppermint for about ten minutes. After this, you should dry them wholly and pay attentiveness to the area in between your toes. As the feet dry, you can apply a soothing oil or lotion.

To begin your foot massage, the masseuse will take one foot and massage the top of the foot using their thumbs. They should start with slow firm stroking motions working their way from the toes to your ankles. When they get close to the ankles, they should ensue the same path back to the toes. The strokes should be slow and firm, with less pressure on the toes. This should be repeated about five times.

Next they cup the heel of your foot. With the free hand, the masseuse needs to rotate the foot gently, first in an anticlockwise motion, then clockwise. This should be repeated about four times. It helps relax and de-stress aching feet and ankle joints. The next area to work on is the soles of the feet. This starts at the base of the big toe, working their way to the other toes and then to the balls of your feet. One should be truthful when doing the massage, because you don't want to leave there with a foot injury. The massage should be gentle but firm. Once all areas have been worked on, your feet will have calmed down and you will feel commonly relaxed.
